Hawzah News Agency- the Army’s statement characterized the assault as the latest in a series of malicious acts orchestrated by what it called the "criminal American-Zionist axis."
'Flagrant violation of international law'
In its statement, the Iranian Army condemned what it described as the "terrorist mafia ruling the occupied territories"—a reference to the Israeli regime—for carrying out the attack in collaboration with the "criminal United States."
"The drone attack on the residence of the head of the Iraqi Kurdistan region in Duhok is not only a gross violation of the principles and rules of international law and a disrespect to the national security of the Iraqi Kurdistan region," the statement read, "but it is also a continuation of the mischief and malice of global arrogance and the accursed Zionist entity against regional and international peace and security."
'American-Zionist axis, a threat to global peace'
The Army’s statement emphasized that the "sinister American-Zionist combination" represents a dangerous threat to global peace and security, asserting that the two regimes hold no regard for international laws and regulations.
The Iranian military called on the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibility in confronting the ongoing threats to international peace and security posed by the "continuous terrorist and aggressive actions of the criminal United States and the illegitimate Zionist regime."
Iran's firm resolve to counter threats
Concluding the statement, the Army reiterated its firm resolve to defend the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran—a security, it noted, that ultimately ensures stability across the region.
"The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while condemning this aggressive, criminal, and heinous act, stands with a steadfast will and unwavering determination to defend the security of Islamic Iran—which leads to the security of the region—and to stand firm against the crimes of the American-Zionist enemies," the statement concluded.
